About the Author

Khabira Tucker was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York during the time when the crack cocaine epidemic was in full effect. As a young girl she found herself attracted to the lure of street life to escape the reality of her home, which was plagued by domestic violence. As a result, she started to affiliate herself with well-known gangsters who treated her like their sister and taught her the game. Pretty, fly, and young, she fell in love with the father of her child, whose eventual murder was the breaking point for a series of tragedies and losses she experienced.

During this time, she experienced her darkest hour in life. It was then when she had to decide to press her way through all of her life circumstances and issues to transition from despair to the destiny God had ordained for her. She began to refer back to the teaching and tutelage she received under the leadership of Bishop Clarence Sexton Jr. at the Mt Sinai Cathedral COGIC in Brooklyn, NY when God called her out of the street life.

Khabira is now an author, entrepreneur, licensed practical nurse, and a graduate of The Prophetic School of Development located in Philadelphia, PA. Khabira also serves as an assistant pastor at Manifested Glory Ministries under the leadership of Dr. Nabiha Kelly. Khabira loves to encourage people to have hope and faith in the fact that God has destined them to be an overcomer. She also encourages people to seek mental health services, as her life was positively impacted through the counseling services she received at the Christian Wellness Center of New Jersey. Khabira is also a mother of one beautiful daughter, Kiyanah, and “MiMi” to her beloved granddaughter, who she loves and cherishes with all her heart.
